How do athletes live?
How do athletes achieve winning performances, individual bests and and perform to the peak of their physical and mental ability? They have the physical and mental attributes to do it but they are also surrounded by experts who help them achieve their goals and ambition. It’s almost impossible to do it alone.
What if I told you that the daveynutrition team wants to give you the chance to experience what it feels like to live like an athlete and realise your true potential to be surrounded by people who want to help you realise your true potential? Next May you have the opportunity to experience an event like no other. For 5 days from the 3rd to the 8th of May we will be running the FIRST daveynutrition event outside of Ireland. We are so thrilled to announce the ‘Live Like An Athlete Event’ which will take place in the beautiful coastal town of Luz Portugal.
Where did the idea come from?
Great ideas tend to stem from great conversion and this idea is no different! The daveynutrition team has been aiming to do great in-person events for years. The challenge with events is that often they are great experiences but don’t allow sufficient time to really help people change habits and build new routines.
Sitting on the couches in the Leinster Café one day earlier this year chatting to some of the players that were on a break from one of their rehabilitation sessions, one of them says, I wish I could do my rehab on holiday in the sun. I looked over and said, seriously, you would prefer that? He said: “Yes!, Think about it, you are getting out of your usual environment to spend time in the sun and also making progress with your training. Your mood would be better, you could recover faster between sessions and it wouldn’t feel as much of a slog”. I said: “wow, that’s very interesting, I think you just gave me an idea”. I said, “what about the idea of running a schedule like you have with meals, nutrition guidance, structured training and recovery all mapped out for you in the sun”? The response was overwhelming from everyone in the room, they all loved it. One of them said: I will go but you have to give me a free place because I helped you come up with the idea.
Since that conversation I have been discussing the idea with my team and we have been building towards running a transformative experience in the sun that will allow people to experience an all inclusive learning, training and social event in Portugal. The aim is to allow you to create a performance template for life! We will show you How to prepare your body and mind to be at your best every day, no matter what you do. Day in day out in whatever you do.
Who should attend?
This experience is not only for athletes or those who compete, it’s for people who want to really expand their knowledge, skills and build a really positive mindset around the pillars of performance – Excellent Nutrition, Optimal Sleep, Sustainable Movement, Strong Mindset and Consistency. You do not need to be super fit but you do need to be willing to work hard and improve the pillars of performance.
