Protein Mango Bowl
This bowl is a great option to have on moderate activity days when carbohydrate requirements are a bit lower, but protein intake is sill needed for the growth and repair of muscle cells and for recovery post lower intensity exercise.
Mango is an excellent source of many nutrients, especially Vitamin C, which plays an important role in immune functioning. They are also a great source of magnesium and potassium, supporting cardiovascular health.
Serve this bowl immediately and add a dash more milk or water if needed to move the ingredients in the food processor. Store in the freezer if you are making more than one serving.
Use plant based milk, yoghurt and protein powder to make this recipe vegan.
- 1 Blender/Food Processor
- 200 g Frozen mango
- 100 ml Low fat milk
- 50 g Low fat Greek yoghurt
- 30 g Protein powder
- 50 g Raspberries
- 50 g Strawberries
- 30 g Granola
- 1 tbsp Chia seeds
- 1 tsp Honey
- Add the milk, mango and yoghurt to a blender/food processor and blitz for 1 minute.
- Stop, remove the lid and add the protein powder. Blitz for a further 1 minute or until thick and smooth.
- Scoop into a bowl, add your toppings and enjoy!
