You do not need to use pine nuts in pesto. Walnuts, almonds, macadamia nuts and pecans also work well

Ingredients
- 4 tbsp Basil (4 small bunches of fresh basil)
- 1 clove Garlic
- 2 tbsp Pine nuts (lightly toasted)
- 30 g Parmesan cheese (grated)
- 2 tbsp Extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tsp Ground pepper

Instructions
- Add all ingredients to a blender, and blend to a smooth paste.
- Season with black and white pepper to taste.
