For Exercise Day
Performance Benefits
Carbohydrates are the body's primary and preferred source of energy. Carbohydrates play a role in recovery by replenishing glycogen stores in our muscles after exercise. This is particularly important for individuals engaging in prolonged or intense physical activity. Protein is crucial for muscle repair and growth. During and after exercise, muscle tissues experience micro-tears, and adequate protein intake supports the repair and rebuilding process, contributing to muscle strength and endurance.
Health Benefits
The Greek yoghurt & protein powder provides a significant protein boost, essential for muscle repair and satiety, while the Weetabix adds fibre for digestive health. Strawberries offer Vitamin C which is crucial for immune system support, collagen synthesis, and acts as an antioxidant, helping to protect cells from damage caused by free radicals.
