A great source of protein to repair and grow, carbohydrates to replenish losses, and unsaturated fatty acids will help you to meet your energy calorie needs after an intense session. The cherries and cacao powder offer a rich source of antioxidants. The antioxidant anthocyanin, gives the rich red colour to cherries, which is known to play a role in supporting cardiovascular health and eliminating free radicals from the body. This recipe is a great post training smoothie to kick start your recovery or hold you over until your next big meal. Add in some tart cherry juice too, if in need of a higher hit of antioxidants.

- 300 ml Milk
- 2 scoop Whey protein powder
- 160 g Frozen cherries
- ½ Avocado
- 4 tsp Cacao powder
- 1 Banana
- 2 tbsp Almond butter
- 10 Ice-cubes
