Not earth-shattering news but certainly beneficial for athletes training to stay optimally hydrated during sport.
Salt plays a crucial role in the body by helping to maintain nerve and muscle function. Therefore, when we lose salt through sweat it is important to replace it, this drink aims to do just that.
This is a great option for younger athletes.
If short on time, blend a couple of ice-cubes into the mixture to help cool it down.
- 400 ml Water
- ½ tsp Salt
- 1 tbsp Sugar
- 1 tbsp Honey
- 100 ml Dilute/ Squash
- Blend the ingredients together and if using a bottle store in the fridge to chill.
- Use a warm spoon to transfer the honey.
