Dark Hot Chocolate
Indulge in our homemade hot chocolate as the cold nights draw in this winter. Top it with whipped cream or marshmallows for an extra touch of luxury.
For Rest Day
The protein from the milk aids in muscle recovery post-exercise. This is a lower carbohydrate recipe, meaning it is a great option for rest or less intense activity days, where carb requirements are lower.
Dark chocolate provides antioxidants, promoting heart health and reducing inflammation. The milk adds protein and calcium, both essential for bone health. The touch of honey not only sweetens the drink naturally but also brings potential antibacterial properties.
You can add a pinch of chilli or cinnamon if you'd like! Coconut milk is a personal favourite of mine! To boost the protein content, try adding some chocolate protein powder too.
- 1 Saucepan

- 1 tbsp Cocoa Powder
- 1 Square of Dark Chocolate (85%+)
- 1 tsp Honey
- Heat the milk, cocoa powder, honey and dark chocolate in a small saucepan over a medium heat until steaming and the dark chocolate has melted. Stir the mixture to ensure the powder dissolves.
- Once ready, pour into your mug and grate some dark chocolate on top!
