Chocolate Nutbutter Chards

The main ingredient in dark chocolate is called cocoa, which is an excellent source of flavanols and procyanidins (also known as epicatechin and catechin) which are major classes of antioxidants.

You can break this dessert up and eat it or you can have it with natural yoghurt and fresh blueberries and raspberries.
Equipment
- Silicone baking mat or parchment paper
- Oven
Ingredients
- 400 g 80% dark chocolate
- 3 tbsp Almond butter (or peanut butter)
- 3 tbsp Desiccated coconut (toasted)
- 3 tbsp Sunflower seeds (toasted)
- 3 tbsp Pumpkin seeds (toasted)
- 3 tbsp Almonds (sliced and toasted)
- 3 tbsp Cranberries (dried)
- 1 tsp Salt
Instructions
- Toast the coconut, seeds and nuts in an oven at 175°C for 8 minutes, stirring to prevent burning.
- Melt the dark chocolate over hot water, once soft, mix in the nut butter.
- Line a baking sheet with a silicone baking mat or parchment paper and spread the chocolate mixture out to approximately 8 ½ x 11 inches. While the chocolate is still warm sprinkle the coconut, nuts, cranberries and seeds over the chocolate evenly.
- Place in a fridge and chill completely until you can break or cut easily. Place in a freezer to chill faster if necessary.
