For Exercise Day
Performance Benefits
Greek yoghurt is rich in protein, which is essential for muscle repair and growth. Consuming it post-exercise can aid in muscle recovery, helping to repair muscle tissue. Peanut butter is a calorie-dense food rich in healthy fats, protein and carbohydrates, making it a convenient source of energy. Consuming peanut butter before exercise can provide sustained energy, particularly for endurance activities.
Health Benefits
The protein in Greek yoghurt contains all 9 essential amino acids, which are crucial for muscle synthesis and immune function. Greek yoghurt is a good source of calcium, promoting bone health and strength. This is particularly beneficial for individuals engaging in weight-bearing exercises to reduce the risk of osteoporosis. Peanut butter contains monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats, which are heart-healthy fats that can support cardiovascular health, help maintain optimal cholesterol levels and reduce the risk of heart disease.
