1-1 Consultations: Frequently Asked Questions

1How do the 1-1 consultations work?
Each session is a focused, personalised conversation about you—your goals, routines, training, challenges, and mindset. We explore what’s working, what’s holding you back, and build a structured plan based on science, performance principles, and your lifestyle. It’s about building momentum, not chasing perfection.
2How long is each session?
Sessions are 60 minutes long, allowing time to go deep into the areas that matter most. Afterward, you’ll receive a follow-up summary with clear actions, relevant resources, and support to keep you progressing.
3What’s the cost?
A one-off consultation is €150. This is a great starting point. However, the best value and long-term impact comes from our coaching support programme, where you receive structured ongoing support and access to our Inner Circle platform—including exclusive resources, recipes, videos, workbooks, and community access.
4How often will I need a consultation?
This depends on your goals and level of support needed. Most people benefit from a check-in every 4–6 weeks for the first 3–6 months, as they build consistency and adjust the plan with their evolving routine and results.
5Do I get a meal plan?
You’ll receive tailored resources, food structure examples, and workbooks to help you better understand your energy needs, fueling strategies, and practical decision-making. It’s not about following a rigid plan—it’s about developing clarity and confidence in how to eat, train, and recover based on what’s right for you and your goals. You’ll also get tools to help navigate different situations like travel, busy workdays, competitions, or nights out.
6What happens in the first session?
We explore your training, lifestyle, stress levels, current eating patterns, and goals. You’ll leave with clear next steps, priorities, and a structure to follow that suits your life—not someone else’s.
7Is this just for athletes?
Not at all. While I work with high-level performers, many of my clients are professionals, parents, and everyday people who want more energy, structure, and performance in life. If you’re ready to take your health and habits seriously, this is for you.
8Do I need to prepare anything before the session?
If possible, track a couple of days of your eating, movement, and sleep. Think about your typical week and key stress points. But if not, no problem—we’ll walk through it together in the session.
9Can I ask questions between sessions?
Yes, I offer follow-up support via email. If something bigger comes up or you want to keep progressing, we can arrange another session or transition into coaching support where there is full support and resources.
10What’s the goal of this process?
Not just short-term changes, but long-term clarity, confidence, and control over your choices. We aim to build a foundation you can stand on—for your health, your performance, and your life.

Book Launch for Eat Up 28/10/22

Ireland's leading performance nutritionist and bestselling author, Daniel Davey, will be launching his new book Eat Up: The Next Level at St. Brigid's Hall, Tubbercurry on Friday, 28 October.
Daniel, who has worked with some of Ireland's top elite athletes, will be in conversation with special guests to talk about the connection between mindset, nutrition, sport and high performance. Whether competing at the highest level or trying to run your first 5K, the first steps to achieving your goals are the same.
Daniel’s new book provides fascinating insight into how to understand yourself – both strengths and weaknesses – set a goal, and then build good habits and behaviours to achieve it. Food is central to this conversation, as good food choices affect mood, energy, health and ultimately our ability to perform at a high level.
