Performance Benefits

Protein is important for growth and repair of muscle after training. Consuming a good source of protein in the morning helps to stabilise our blood sugars, sustain energy and keep us feeling satisfied for longer.
Health Benefits

When we are in a calorie deficit, it is important to consume sufficient protein to maintain muscle mass while losing fat. Muscle mass counts for more than strength and performance, it plays an important role in our health and longevity.
Expert Tips

This high protein breakfast provides a good source of carbohydrates too, making it ideal for a day of light-moderate activity exercise.

Equipment

  • Bowl
  • Mason jar or Lunch box
  • Fridge

Ingredients

  • 2 Weetabix
  • 3 tbsp Greek yoghurt
  • 100 g Mixed berries (fresh or frozen)
  • ½ scoop Vanilla protein powder (optional)
1 Serving

Instructions

  • Break the weetabix into crumbs in a bowl and mix in half the protein powder (if using).
  • Add 100ml of water and mix well. Pat down using the back of a spoon.
  • Mix the berries, yoghurt and remaining protein powder in a separate bowl.
  • Spoon the yoghurt mix over the weetabix and place in the fridge to set overnight.

Tip: You can use some extra yoghurt instead of protein powder if you like.
