The daveynutrition Empower programme

This January, we are running our 4th daveynutrition Empower programme! This programme has proven to be extremely successful over the past two years and we are extremely excited to work with a new group of individuals who wish to make dramatic changes to their nutrition and lifestyle habits.. 

So what is Empower?

With this programme, we are trying to completely change the game. We want to build communities of individuals around shared goals of either fat loss, muscle gain and/or performance. This is not a ‘quick fix’ programme. You will work with the daveynutrition team to completely change your behaviours over a 12 week period.

 

All you need to do is look at the name ‘EMPOWER’ to see the true goals for the 12-week process. Since I began work as a performance nutritionist, it has always been my goal to help empower those that I work with to make their own informed decisions around food. These decisions should be healthy but also enjoyable, and all aligned with your long term goal. 

 

This is why the programme only opens four times a year. Feeling part of a community is a highly effective method of improving your adherence to healthier behaviours. 

As a brief overview, here is what we provide in the Empower Programme

 

  • 3 x 1-to-1 consultations with a dn professional nutritionist. This person will be your dedicated nutritionist for the entire programme.
  • Bi-weekly nutrition workshops covering a range of topics such as fat loss, habit-building, fuelling and recovery.
  • 3-month access to 100’s of recipes and articles
  • Weekly emails with nutrition education and action/reflective tasks 
  • Meal plans for you to use as a guide
  • Personalised nutrition plan 
  • A specialised knowledge and behaviour assessment 
  • Weekly goal-specific seminars 
  • Access to community FB group with daily posts and questions 
  • Direct daveynutrition support 

 

Why is it different?

There are a multitude of nutrition programmes out there nowadays. Some of them are phenomenal, others are not so great.

 

They will all most likely provide a consultation, a programme and expert support. This can be effective for many individuals as they achieve their goal of weight loss or muscle gain. However, what happens after this point?

Has the individual developed knowledge to help them navigate the food environment for years to come? Have they developed a group of consistent habits that are health-promoting, enjoyable and designed for long-term success? Do they have a safe space of like-minded individuals where they can get both expert answers but also experience-based feedback to their questions? 

 

In the Empower programme, this is exactly what we aim to provide. These are the things that I feel differentiates us from the rest. We are setting you up for long-term success. 

 The Support

Receiving a programme and heading off on your own for a couple of weeks can be beneficial for some, but not for most. We all need support through any behaviour change process. 

 

In the Empower, we have infused multiple lines of expert support to facilitate your progress. First, you will have a direct line of contact with your dn nutritionist through our direct messaging platform on the website. 

 

You will also gain access to the private Facebook group joining all the current Empower members. Every day for the 88 days, we will share Q&A’s, reflections on your progress, nutrition tips/strategies and a link to the weekly seminar. 

 

The seminar is the third avenue of support that we provide. Bi-weekly, usually on a Wednesday, all Empower members will have access to a themed seminar run by myself or one of my expert team of nutritionists. These will be centred around muscle building, fat loss, health or performance. Even if a seminar is not based on your goal, I recommend attending as many as possible, they will all provide crucial insights and info. 

 

The Recipe Hub 

Alongside the support, the online recipes and meal plans are what really set this programme apart from the pack. 

 

When you receive your tailored nutrition plan, there will be two meal plans linked based on your required calories and macronutrients. Every meal contained in this meal plan has an in-depth recipe with the ingredients, process, health benefits and nutritional info all available. 

 

I have prepared each and every one of these recipes, and let me tell you, they are tasty! 

 

Throughout the 12 week process, you will receive a weekly email that takes you step by step through the science and application of your goal. In these emails, we will have linked 1 – 2 articles for you to dive into. You have unlimited access to our blog section as an Empower member and can scour the 100’s of knowledge-packed articles in there. 

 

I want you to graduate from this programme with a completely newfound level of nutritional understanding, a range of new habits and an entire lifestyle. 

How does it work? 

Great question. The Empower programme is now open for registration and will begin on the 16th of January.

Once you are in, you’ll receive a goal-specific assessment link and once you have completed this, you’ll get to book your 1-to-1 consultation. Within just 2-3 days, you’ll receive your personalised nutrition plan with links to some meal plans that are suited to your needs and goals. 

 

From then, on Monday of each week, you’ll receive a specialised email that provides essential learning and insights to the science behind your goal of fat loss, muscle gain or performance. In these weekly installments, are both action and reflective tasks. 

 

Every two weeks you will receive a progress check-in which will enable your dn nutritionist to keep track of your progress through the programme. 

What we learned from Empower so far

The shopping list is key to success, having access to a shopping list that can be edited and change with plans takes the work out of planning the shopping trip

It benefits the whole family / house not just you and that makes it so much more sustainable

You feel like you are taking control of more than just food, it build momentum in other areas of your life like time management and work performance

There is less stress around food because the system works and you just need to stick to it.

You need to pay attention and work hard in the first 2 weeks and then it becomes part of your routine and it all becomes so much easier
